Harlech Town Bowl 2010
Mike Calvert was the winner of the Town Bowl, beating Duncan Gowen 3&2 in the final. 12 handicapper Gowen had already beaten Barry John, John Williams, Colin Webster and Staurt Plested to reach his first Town Bowl final, whilst ex-Welsh International Calvert, playing off 2, beat Huw Lewis in the Preliminary Round before disposing of Martin Perch, Matthew Thaw, Phil Lamkin Jnr and Simon Kelly.
50 year old Calvert, who played golf at Harlech as a youngster, capped a fine week after coming second in the Einion Pierce Foursomes with son Jamie, who came second in the Leigh Taylor Challenge Cup.
Toyota Qualifier
The three qualifiers who will represent the Club in the Regional Final to be held at Royal St David's on the 19th of September will be:
1st - Terry Adamson 39pts
2nd - David Kendall 39pts
3rd - Brett Wheatley 38pts
The reserves will be Steve Wild, Carwyn Jones and Merfyn Jones.
