Competition Results
The Gold Cross was won by Alastair Jones of Radyr Golf Club with a 5 over total of 212. The event was reduced to 54 holes as a result of Sunday morning's weather.
Jones, a Welsh International who plays off +2, was the only player amongst the original 60 entries who managed to break par in any of the three rounds, carding a 67 in Saturday afternoon's second round.
Jones' victory gives him 150 points in the Pinnacle Welsh Order of Merit and moves him to second place behind Ludlow's Oliver Farr. Second, three shots behind Jones was Jamie Howie, who collects 65 Pinnacle points.
Overnight leader Geraint Jones finished 5th on 216, whilst Joe Soar finished 16th on 223 and Llion Lloyd Kerry finished in 22nd place on 226.
Howie's second place takes him to 11th on the Order of Merit, and a good finish in the Welsh Amateur Championship at Tenby at the end of July could secure him a place in the Welsh Team for the 2010 Home Internationals.
Toyota Qualifier
The three qualifiers who will represent the Club in the Regional Final to be held at Royal St David's in September will be:
1st - Terry Adamson 39pts
2nd - David Kendall 39pts
3rd - Brett Wheatley 38pts
The reserves will be Steve Wild, Carwyn Jones and Merfyn Jones.

Welsh Ladies' Team Champions 2010
Royal St David's have won the Welsh Ladies' Team Championship for the eight time, beating Abergele in an all North Wales final at Rhuddlan.
Ladies' Captain Pam Valentine and Ann Lewis were members of the team that last won the trophy at Maesdu in 1996 and they were joined this year by Chris Wheatley, Jeanette Williams, Sybra Eardley (not in photo) and Denise Burchell. Previous successes came in 1961, '63, '64, '74, '82, and '95.
The Ping Mixed Foursomes Team progressed to the 3rd round of the event after a 2-1 win against Northop at Maesdu Golf Club. They now play Nefyn for a place in the quarter final of the North Wales quarter of the draw.
